Families & Volunteers
Volunteer Obligation Fee
As part of registration, each family’s help is needed. East Stroudsburg Softball Little League is a
volunteer-run organization, and our programs rely on family participation to operate successfully.
- Each family must complete a set number of volunteer sessions
- Minors, Majors, and Seniors families must work concession
- The Volunteer Obligation Fee is refunded once requirements are met
- The goal is participation, not payment
We do not want to keep your money. This program exists to ensure the league runs smoothly and fairly for everyone.
ESSLL is entirely run by volunteers. In the past, a small group of families carried most of the workload,
which led to burnout and difficulty keeping concessions open during games.
- Shared responsibility keeps the league healthy
- Concession proceeds help cover umpire fees
- Volunteer support allows registration fees to stay affordable
Minors · Majors · Seniors

Volunteer obligations are based on the highest division your child plays in.
- Every Minors/Majors/Seniors family must work two concession sessions
- Home teams must provide two concession volunteers per home game
- Dates may be selected but will be assigned if none are chosen
If you cannot work your assigned shift, you are responsible for finding a replacement.
Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of your Volunteer Obligation Fee.
No additional sessions are required if you serve in one of the following roles:
- Full-year board member
- Manager, coach, or assistant coach
- Team parent
- Pre-game field prep and post-game cleanup (two sessions)
- Scoreboard operation (one game)
- Spring field cleanup

Families may not complete volunteer obligations for other families without written approval from the league.
